Abstrak

Fragmentary is a performance in which there are stories or real events that have occurred in the past, which are performed by artists and then packaged and presented by showing various roles in a shorter period of time compared to the time that occurred in the original story. The method in this research uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach. In this research the author will try to analyze the existence of fragmentary performing arts in the Hindu Young Generation. The research location focuses on the Mataram City area because in this area there are many young Hindu generations who participate and are enthusiastic in every Fragmentary performing arts performance. The results of the research show that the existence of Fragmentary performing arts has become more present than before, this can be seen from the increasing number of Hindu Young Generation who are willing to enthusiastically participate in creating various Fragmentary works, then carry out performances either during special activities on purpose or utilizing Hindu holidays as a time to provide entertainment. The general public also supports and is very enthusiastic about the Fragmentary performance created by the Hindu Young Generation. The presentation structure of a Fragmentary performing arts performance consists of a prologue, a song and also a cover as well as accompanying instruments. The instruments used in Fragmentari are Gong Kebyar consisting of a pelog of 5 tones, the names of musical instruments in Gong Kebyar include Kendang Lanang and Kendang Wadon, 1 Petuk, 1 Kecek, 1 Ugal, 4 Pemade, 2 Kantil, Cengceng, Flute, 1 Reong , 2 gongs, 1 kempul, 2 calung or jublag, 2 jegogan.
